Yesterday, I previewed Scarlet Elfcup's newest creation. Today, I am proud to introduce to you Le Petite Elfcup, a small 8" doll. Here is another itty-bitty doll fit for the palm of the hands and handbag snuggles.
Le Petite Elfcup features a sitting doll that spans a whopping 8" (20 cm) long. The design of the pattern is not much different than that of the 6" (15 cm) Wee-Bee Mini Elfcup. The seams are double stitched just like the bigger dolls. Le Petite Elfcups have details that include shaped feet (left and right distinguished), hands with thumbs, buttocks and a belly button. The leg proportion is extended a tad to give a long lean structure for the doll. Although, the appearance of the design may not look so different to the eye, the 8" doll lays the groundwork for me to move into a jointed design and possibly some experimenting with armatures that will allow for a standing and posable doll, yet still allows for working within the tiny structures that I so enjoy making.
Le Petite Elfcups will come in a wide array of options from classic Waldorf facial features to heavily sculpted facial features. The hair will also span widely from mohair yarn to wefted wigs made from suri alpaca or any number of fleece locks.
Le Petite Elfcup....fit for the palm of the hands and cozy handbags. The first of the Le Petites will be featured in an upcoming custom request.
Thank you. I wish you a lovely evening...(or morning)...depending on where your humble abode lies.
