Hello there! It has been a long while, hasn't it? Please do pardon the long silence. A flurry of events, one after another kept me from entering my workshop for the past two weeks.
Summer is upon us and we could not help but take our first family camping trip of the season, shortly after my last blog, posted on May 19. Upon return, my beloved partner, the sewing machine took a sick leave. Her bobbin timer went out of tune at about this time last year. And I decided that I would love to tinker with the mechanics of a sewing machine and ended up fixing her myself. But, I am not an expert and it appears that I did not completely fix her, so she broke again a mere week ago. Once again, I gave her another adjustment, tinkered with the bobbin timer myself and I think we are now steady and back in business. These, among a number of other duties, including motherhood, called upon me rather demandingly in the past two weeks. So, again, my apologies for the long spell of silence. But, I am finally back in the swing of things and ready to lavish some little dollies with lots of attention and TLC.
Here is a sweetheart in the making. I'll hold back from too much detail about this little darling because I want to tell her full story when the time is ripe. But, I can tell you how happy I am to be working on this wee one. Oh, she does make my heart go pitter-patter, this Nectar-keeper.
Wonderful locks of love...she has not yet decided who she will be...
....a girl with curly golden locks....
....maybe a nectar-keeper with curly red locks...
....perhaps an enchanting magical creature with wavy aqua emerald locks...
....or a simple peasant child with a short bob made of soft alpaca...
Stay tuned and she'll soon reveal her true self.
